Tamworth auction features LEGO, trains, slot racing cars, die-cast, action figures and retro toys

STAND by for Richard Winterton Auctioneers' next Toys & Trains Sale!

Taking place at The Tamworth Auction Rooms on Wednesday, September 23, the sale features 404 lots of modern, retro and vintage collectable toys and the catalogue is online now.

The sale includes sets of sealed, boxed, limited edition and discontinued – or ‘retired’ – LEGO including Star Wars, The Lord Of The Rings and Harry Potter.

There are also rare LEGO Ideas sets including Friends, The Goonies and Sonic The Hedgehog Green Hill Zone.

A large collection of racing models includes brands such as Technomodel Mythos, Spark, Brumm, Best and Minichamps and there are slot cars by Scalextric and Cartrix, Fly and Flyslot.

The auction also features a large collection of Britains die-cast models of farm machinery plus outbuilding, animals and accessories.

Other die-cast includes models by Corgi, Lledo, Franklin Mint and Hot Wheels.

Trains include locomotives and rolling stock by brands such as Hornby, Lima. Tri-ang, Trix, Bachmann, Graham Farish, Bowman, Wrenn, Powerhouse, PECO, Heljan and Dapol.

There are also action figures by Hasbro, Mattel, Disney, Kenner and Palitoy Action Man, unbuilt and part-built transport and military kits and models by Mamod live steam.

The last lot of the sale, Lot 430, is a collection of live steam locomotive parts, plans and literature.

On the day of the auction, people can bid online, in the room or by prior arranged telephone bid. The sale starts at 9.30am.
