Two-day July jewellery valuation event at The Auction Café in Lichfield

TWO days of free jewellery valuations are coming to The Auction Café in Lichfield this July.

The popular coffee shop at 34 Market Street is open seven days a week, from 9am to 4pm Monday to Saturday and 10am-3pm on Sundays.

Free valuations of jewellery, watches, gold and silver with Midlands gemmologist Georgina Southam FIRV FGA DGA BA (Hons), pictured top of page, take place at the café on Tuesday, July 28, and Wednesday, July 29, between 9.30am and 3pm both days.

Auction highlights this month have included an early 20th century spirit kettle on stand (sold £1,100), a fancy wheat chain (sold £1,300), an 18ct gold open face pocket watch (sold £1,700), a Victorian silver castle top card case by Nathanial Mills (sold £700), a 1953 RAF Omega 'Fat Arrow' military wristwatch (sold £1,350) and a four-piece Elizabeth II silver tea set (sold £1,900)

Subsequent valuation days are planned for Tuesdays August 4, 11 and 25, and Wednesday, August 26, from 9.30am to 3pm all days.

The Auction Café offers speciality coffee, tea, hot chocolate, soft drinks, ice cream, cakes, cream teas, pastries, soup, toasties, bagels and savoury snacks seven days a week in air-conditioned comfort.
