We Love Lichfield to stage free community information event - and you're invited

Wednesday 16th April 5.30pm-7pm

WE Love Lichfield is staging a special information event to connect with more businesses and supporters.

The community place-based fund has raised more than £400,000 for local good causes over the last decade, but there is still an ongoing need for grant funding and fundraising.

The free, informal information event at The Hub at St Mary’s in Lichfield’s Market Square takes place from 5.30pm-7pm on Wednesday, April 16 and includes a free welcome drink.

There's no need to book, just turn up and find out about the wonderful work of the local voluntary sector.

Simon Price, patron of We Love Lichfield, said: “I invite businesses of all shapes and sizes to pop in.

“It's a great opportunity to network and hear about the fabulous local voluntary sector which they can support through us.

“For voluntary groups, please come along and find out more about how you can apply for funding.

“The event will be a win-win for everyone.”

We Love Lichfield provides grants across Lichfield District including Burntwood and the surrounding villages.

Companies and individuals can contribute via donations or by fundraising.

All money is invested through an endowment fund in line with charity commission guidelines via the Community Foundation for Staffordshire and Shropshire with the financial returns distributed as grants.

The beauty of this model is that it will provide a source of grants long into the future – it’s like a pension scheme for the local voluntary sector.
