Watch out for us in Sutton Coldfield!

PEOPLE will be able to have their antiques, collectables and curiosities valued for free at a special event in Sutton Coldfield next week.

Richard Winterton, auctioneer of television favourites Bargain Hunt and Dickinson's Real Deal, and other expert valuers will be at The Trinity Centre, Church Hill, Mill Street, from 2-3.30pm.

He will be accompanied by jewellery specialist Louise Ludlam-Snook and wine, whisky and port valuer Rob French.

Watches continue to be a mainstay of auctions – recently an Omega Seamaster Professional made £1,400 and a mid-20th century 9ct gold gent’s Rolex Oyster, pictured, fetched £1,250.

An older, pre-1969 Omega Speedmaster (pictured below) previously sold for £9,000.

Collectable wine, whisky and port is also fetching high hammer prices.

A bottle of 1968 Chateau Petrus Pomerol wine sold in December for £1,200 and a bottle of The Macallan 10-year-old Scotch whisky made £340 in the same auction.

More specialists will be back at The Trinity Centre between 2pm and 3.30pm on February 25 and March 25.
