Stunning diamond platinum ring sells for £8,000 in Lichfield jewellery auction

AN IMPRESSIVE diamond solitaire ring sold for £8,000 with Richard Winterton Auctioneers today, Monday, September 21.

The certified natural 3.45ct single stone diamond platinum ring went under the hammer as Lot 425 in the Antiques & Home Sale at The Lichfield Auction Centre, Wood End Lane, Fradley Park.

Forty-two people were watching the sale online and the ring, which came with box and Birmingham Assay Office Natural Diamond Report, eventually sold to a bidder in the room.

The old European cushion cut diamond has a stated weight of 3.54cts, stated colour K and stated clarity I1.

It is six claw set to a pinched shoulder and polished band, hallmarked Platinum Birmingham, ring size L, and the approximate gross weight  is 6.9 grams.
