Rare Scottish malt whisky and vintage port in Lichfield auction

More than 100 lots of whiskies, wine, port, Champagne, spirits, miniatures and fine cigars to go under the hammer

DOZENS of bottles of rare malt whisky from some of Scotland's most famous distilleries are for sale with Richard Winterton Auctioneers on Tuesday, October 22.

Starting at 9.30am, that day's Antique & Home Sale will feature more than 100 lots of malt and blended whisky, wine, Champagne, vintage port, Cognac, Armangac, other spirits and miniatures.

An array of fine cigars are catalogued from Lot 801 to Lot 819.

Whiskies, wine and port follows from Lot 820 to Lot 950, including a collection of Fonseca 1970 vintage port from Lot 846 to Lot 856.

A number of Signatory Vintage presentation bottles include the 1966 Single Highland Malt Whisky from the Macallan Glenlivet Distillery (Lots 842 and 843, the latter pictured top of page), the 1969 Single Campbeltown malt whisky from the Springbank Distillery (Lot 837) and the 1979 Islay Bunnahabhain Distillery in a blue velvet box (Lot 838).

Other special whiskies include a bottle of Islay malt distilled at the 'lost distillery' of Port Ellen in 1980 (Lot 825), Bowmore 'The Gulls' Islay single malt whisky in a blue ceramic decanter (Lot 834), and a bottle of Largiemeanoch Islay single cask 19 year old malt whisky (Lot 836).

Lot 865 is a bottle of The Macallan 18 Year Old Highland Malt Whisky. Other classics in the sale include bottles from Lagavulin  and Laphraoig.

Champagnes include Krug, Dom Perignon and Moet & Chandon, there are red wines from France, Spain, Italy, Australia and Germany and also white and rose wine.

Viewing in person takes place by appointment on Friday, October 18, and on sale day people can bid online, in the room or by prior arranged telephone bid.
