Prestige and classic cars total £78,000 at Lichfield auction

BIDDERS in the room, online and over the telephone were all revved up for a supercharged sale of luxury and classic vehicles at The Lichfield Auction Centre today (Tuesday, August 22).

Prestige models by Jaguar, Mercedes and Range Rover were among the line-up, with hammer prices totalling £78,010.

Highlights included a 2014 Jaguar XK Dynamic, pictured, selling at £23,000, a 1968 Daimler V8 saloon (sold £7,400) and a 2010 Range Rover sport (sold £7,000).

Other popular lots included a 1953 MG TD Mark II (sold £13,500), 1968 Fiat Vignale Gamine in Barbie pink (sold £5,800) and 2014 Mercedes E350 AMG Sport (sold £6,000).

This 1968 Daimler V8 sold at £7,400.

Three vintage Honda mopeds totalled £2,780, a large twin axle box van trailer sold at £680 and the registration number V13 DES made £620.

The only unsold lot was a 1955 Ford-Fordson Thames pickup – but keep an eye out as it will be coming up again in the next few weeks.

This quirky Fiat Vignale Gamine sold at £5,800.
