Meet stamps specialist Phil Ives for free valuations at Tamworth auction house
RESPECTED stamps specialist Phil Ives is coming to Tamworth in June to offer free philately valuations and advice.Phil, pictured, will be at Richard Winterton Auctioneers at 34-35 Church Street for no-obligation stamp valuations by appointment on Thursday, June 9 and Wednesday, July 13.

The latest sale at The Tamworth Auction Rooms saw a collection of Great Britain stamps sell for £1,300 on behalf of a Tamworth vendor.
Two other collections of GB philately made £400 each, with world stamps also proving popular with buyers.
“Our auctions are joined by online bidders from all across the globe as well as local people bidding live in the room,” said Ben Winterton.
“The auction market is certainly buoyant at the moment so, if you’re sorting through the loft during the extended Jubilee bank holiday and stumble across a stamp collection or something else interesting, give us a call and we’ll be happy to help investigate.”

Free valuations at the Grade II listed town centre building have been carried out on items ranging from stamps and militaria to jewellery and watches.
