TWO legendary guitars are sure to strike a chord with musically minded bidders at a Lichfield auction.

Richard Winterton Auctioneers' Antiques & Home Sale on Monday, August 21, features a stunning Martin OM-28 acoustic guitar and a USA Fender Stratocaster.

Initially born for jazz and blues clubs, the esteemed Martin OM-28 is an orchestra acoustic in the classic 000 body size, which sits comfortably between parlour and dreadnought yet still projects rich tones and plenty of volume.

Details of Lot 425, a 2016 Martin OM-28 W/CS acoustic guitar.

Going under the hammer on Monday as Lot 425, this 2016 Martin OM-28 W/CS model with solid spruce top and natural finish comes in its original Martin hard case, is in excellent condition and plays beautifully and sounds superb.

Next up is Lot 426, a striking example of the versatile classic electric guitar, the Fender Stratocaster.

This model from 2000 is finished in aqua flake with chrome hardware and tremolo and three single coil pick-ups on a white scratchplate.

It comes in its original Fender hardcase complete with cleaning cloth and strap; the condition is excellent and the tremolo hole is still taped over

It's a Marshall amplifier MG Series 50DFX, capable of 50 watts and including an unused, boxed Marshall footswitch.

Starting at 12 noon, the sale features luxury models by Jaguar, Mercedes and Range Rover, a 1968 Daimler V8, rare Barbie pink Fiat Vignale Gamine and an antique 1953 MG TD Mark II.

The August 22 car auction includes this Jaguar XK Dynamic R Auto Coupe, 1953 MG TD Mark II, Daimler V8 and Fiat Vignale Gamine.
