Lichfield Garrick to host special valuation event for jewellery, watches and silver
JEWELLERY specialists from Richard Winterton Auctioneers are staging an exclusive valuation event in aid of the Lichfield Garrick.Due to popular demand, timeslots for free valuations between 10am-1pm on Monday, June 20 have been doubled – book your space now via the Lichfield Garrick website here.
The valuation team will be giving auction estimates and advice on all jewellery, watches and silver with anything consigned for sale benefiting from a reduced commission rate of 10 per cent, which will be split 50/50 with the Garrick theatre charity.
As well as the free professional valuation, people will also be able to enjoy a complimentary beverage.
“Meeting new people and discovering the stories behind their heirlooms and trinkets is always a joy,” said Richard.
“Whether it’s an old Omega, Georg Jenson brooch, Pandora bracelet or a 3ct diamond ring, we’re here to help and happy to assess and assist with all treasures and trinkets ranging from antique and vintage to modern or organic.”
An associate member of The National Association of Jewellers for all auction requirements, Richard Winterton's jewellery department includes certified gemmologists and diamond graders.
Recent hammer highlight at auction with Richard include a 1970s Rolex ‘single red’ Submariner Date wristwatch in stainless steel, which sold for £17,000 on behalf of a local vendor.
The same auction included a 19th century ‘parure’ – a suite of jewellery – crafted from multi-coloured and vari-patterned Roman glass, which sold at £5,800, and a mid-Victorian bloodstone cameo snake pendant, which went under the hammer for £1,200.
