LEGO, James Bond die-cast, slot racing cars, trains, action figures and retro games in Tamworth toys auction

RICHARD Winterton Auctioneers' next Toys & Trains Sale is on Wednesday, August 26.

Taking place at The Tamworth Auction Rooms, the sale features 489 lots of modern, retro and vintage collectable toys and games and the catalogue is online now.

Sealed, boxed, limited edition and discontinued – or ‘retired’ – sets of LEGO include Star Wars, Harry Potter, 1989 Batman, Formula 1, Speed Champions, Architecture and a 2015 LEGO Ideas Doctor Who Tardis.

There is a large collection of racing models by Spark, GP Replicas, Technomodel Mythos and Replicarz plus slot cars by Scalextric and Cartrix.

Die-cast models include Corgi and Lledo and there is also a complete run from number one to 134 of the GE Fabbri Eaglemoss 007 James Bond Car Collection, sold across two lots - numbers 1-60 as Lot 369 and 61-134 as Lot 376.

Various editions of further James Bond vehicles by Corgi and two 007 Aston Martin DB5 special editions by Danbury Mint appear elsewhere in the sale.

There is also a large number of model trucks by Drake, Mammoet Store and Tekno.

Trains include locomotives and rolling stock by brands including PECO, Heljan, Bachmann, Graham Farish, Hornby and Lima.

There are also action figures by Hasbro, Mattel, Disney, Kenner and Palitoy Action Man, Monopoly board games and Subbuteo sets.

View items in person at the saleroom in Church Street between 10am and 4pm on Tuesday, August 26.

On the day of the auction, people can bid online, in the room or by prior arranged telephone bid. The sale starts at 9.30am.
