Kick-off for free valuations supporting Burton Albion Community Football Trust

A POPULAR free valuation service helping to unlock the mysteries of watches, jewellery, silver and other heirlooms is returning to Burton Albion Community Football Trust (BACT).

Richard Winterton, a familiar face through his regular appearances on television programmes including BBC Bargain Hunt and Dickinson’s Real Deal will be offering free advice and auction estimates at the Burton Albion Community Football Centre hub near the Pirelli Stadium every Thursday from 10-11am, starting September 9.

The valuations will be held by appointment only – to book, call Richard Winterton Auctioneers on 01543 251081.

The family firm has a long association with Burton Albion and held free weekly valuations at the football centre before Covid caused them to be postponed.

The trust has worked with Richard Winterton Auctioneers to put a host of safety measures in place so valuations can be carried out securely.

Commission on items consigned for auction following a valuation at the hub will support BACT and people can also donate items in aid of the trust at the sessions.

“As well as being a Burton Albion fan, I am a huge supporter of BACT and the wonderful work done by the trust,” said Mr Winterton.

“After having to stop our valuations at BACT due to the pandemic we have worked hard in order to bring back a wonderful free service to Burton.

“Demand is stronger than ever so it’s a fantastic time to seek professional advice and find out what those hidden treasures could really be worth at auction.

“Our auctions are broadcast live across the globe and we are regularly joined by thousands of bidders from all over the world.

“I can’t wait to hear people’s stories and see what treasures we can discover together.”
