As well as treating yourselves to coffee, tea, cakes, cream teas, bread and savoury snacks, Richard Winterton Auctioneers has lined up a series of free valuations of items including jewellery, watches, medals, coins, silver and fine art.
Valuer Georgina Southam FIRV FGA DGA BA (Hons) will be offering free valuations of jewellery, watches, gold and silver at the café on Tuesdays January 14, 21 and 28 – just drop in between 10am and 12.30pm and 1pm to 3pm.
Specialist valuations also take place between 10am and 12.30pm on Thursdays, with coins, banknotes, medals and militaria on January 16, fine art and silver on January 23 and toys, trains and railwayana on January 30.
Auctioneer Richard Winterton said: "We have been delighted to get so much great feedback on The Auction Café from customers.
"It is a brilliant location in Lichfield city centre for people to come and have a free valuation whilst enjoying delicious drinks and cakes.
“Our first valuations have proved extremely popular and we look forward to welcoming more people to discuss their treasures and discover what The Auction Café is all about.”
Celebrating 160 years in 2024, Wintertons has been a driving force in the auction world for seven generations, yielding gavels across Staffordshire since 1864.
With its headquarters remaining at The Lichfield Auction Centre, Fradley Park, the firm opened an additional auction house in Tamworth in 2021.
2022 marked a quarter of a century since Richard Winterton and wife Janet took over the family business and today sons Tom, Ben, Harry and James are all part of the firm.
