A RARE automatic transmission 1971 Austin Mini goes to auction in Lichfield on Monday, March 3.

Taking place at The Lichfield Auction Centre, Wood End Lane, Fradley Park, the sale starts at 9am.

Estimated at £4,000 to £4,500, the 1971 Austin Mini 1000 automatic two-door saloon is green with a cream roof.

First registered on March 15 1971 and with one former keeper, the car has a 998cc petrol engine and automatic gearbox.

The odometer reads 42,363 miles (unwarranted), V5C is present along with the handbook and one set of keys.
