Ex-GB sports legends to visit Lichfield auction as BBC Bargain Hunt films SIX episodes of TV antiques show

BARGAIN Hunt returns to The Lichfield Auction Centre later this month to film an energetic episode to celebrate the coming summer of international sport.

Television cameras will be with Richard Winterton Auctioneers on Tuesday, April 30, and people are invited to come to the Fradley Park saleroom to watch the auction action.

A bumper six shows will be filmed during the Antiques & Home Sale that day, one of will which feature four famous ex-GB sportspeople.

The five other episodes will feature regular Bargain Hunt teams.

The sporting contestants are all legends from the worlds of athletics, swimming and cycling... Sally Gunnell and Mark Foster versus Dame Sarah Storey and Richard Whitehead.

The presenter is Natasha Raskin Sharp and she will be joined by well-known Bargain Hunt experts Kate Bliss and Danny Sebastian, who will be helping out the Red and Blue teams.

People coming along don’t need to book, just turn up at the Wood End Lane premises in good time – the auction centre opens at 9am with the sale starting at 9.30am.

Auctioneer Richard Winterton will be yielding the gavel on the day and is inviting people to his saleroom.

“It’s going to a be a monster, extra special edition of Bargain Hunt to celebrate this summer of international sport,” he said.

“We are very excited to be welcoming GB sportspeople to The Lichfield Auction Centre.

“Please do come along and join in the fun at Fradley.”

The Bargain Hunt team came to The Lichfield Auction Centre twice last year to film the popular Coronation episode which aired in May 2023 and to record two 2023 Christmas shows which were a festive hit.

The show’s 2022 Christmas episodes were also filmed at Fradley.
