A rare James I gold angel ten shillings (Lot 76 Est. £1,800-£2,200*) and a George V silver pin cushion in the form of a brogue with real shoelaces (Lot 152 Est. £80-£120*).
A very fine example of a WW1 Princess Mary Christmas tin from 1914 (Lot 193 Est. £130-£170*) and a Royal Worcester vase decorated with cranes by William Powell (Lot 210 Est. £400-£600*).

A George II longcase clock by James Oatley of Tamworth (Lot 509 Est. £600-£800*) and a 1686 first edition of Robert Plot’s The Natural History Of Staffordshire (Lot 537 Est. £600-£650*).

The sale also features a stunning single owner collection of Robert Thompson of Kilburn ‘Mouseman’ furniture in its own special section (Lots 480-488) and a collection of Chinese silver and items relating to the Shanghai Police career of Albert Aiers, including the rare AH Fong photograph album ‘The Sino-Japanese Hostilities 1937 Shanghai’ (Lots 169-177).
