Dalek replica, Corgi, Dinky and Star Wars collectables at Tamworth toy auction
TOY collectors will be hoping to exterminate rivalling bids at a Tamworth auction next week.The Richard Winterton Auctioneers sale in Church Street on Wednesday, August 17, starts at 9.30am and features an array of vintage toys and collectables – including a mid-size replica of a Dalek.
The Doctor Who archnemesis joins other pop culture icons such as Star Wars figures and vehicles dating back to the 1970s and a huge selection of vintage Barbie and Sindy dolls.
Toys in the auction include a 1960s Johnny Seven ‘One Man Army’, collectable Corgi and Dinky dicast, Star Wars figures and a remote-controlled Dalek.
Other 1960s toys include a Johnny Seven ‘One Man Army’ toy rifle plus collectable dicast models including a Dinky Joe 90 vehicle and the all-time classic James Bond Corgi, the Aston Martin DB5 released to tie in with Goldfinger.
There is also a large collection of OO and HO gauge model railway including locomotives, rolling stock, track and accessories plus live steam models, video games, comic books and a tabletop remote-controlled red Dalek.
