Celebrating July's stellar stats: 80 house clearances and 3,352 lots sold at auction

CELEBRATIONS for Richard's birthday were boosted further by the announcement of more record figures.

Throughout July, the family business has carried out 80 property clearances - the highest monthly number since a mammoth 82 in March 2022 - and consigned 3,612 lots to auction, achieving a selling rate of 92.8 per cent with an average price per lot of £114.33.

Director Richard Winterton said: “I am very proud of these results which shows that the auction world is still very strong.

“It is also a testament to the huge amount of hard work that goes into the cataloguing with lots of detail and photographs as well as the after-sales support and our postage service.

“We’re now looking forward to a busy autumn, with clearances already booked up into the middle of September.”
