Auction raises £1,150 for St Giles Hospice
A CHARITY auction in aid of St Giles Hospice has raised a magnificent £1,150 for the Lichfield charity.
Richard Winterton joined forces with The City of Lichfield Townswomen’s Guild to host the special sale on Tuesday, November 27 at The Lichfield Auction Centre.
Over 40 lots of luxury items including new designer handbags, jewellery and watches went under the hammer.
As well as the hammer price, buyer's premium was also added to the charity total so every penny went to St Giles Hospice in Fisherwick, Whittington.
Lots also included a round of golf for four at Lichfield Golf and Country Club; afternoon tea for two at Swinfen Hall; a 14-day membership for two adults and two children at David Lloyd; a framed Jack Vettriano print; a framed print by Colin Warden; a voucher for hair treatment or product at Joells in Lichfield, a half-hour beauty treatment at Serenity in Shenstone; and a three-course meal for two at The Red Lion at Longdon.
As well as taking part in the auction (pictured above) people can also donate directly to St Giles with a charity bucket installed at Richard WInterton Auctioneers.
Mr Winterton said: “What a superb auction! St Giles Hospice is such an important facility and we are all delighted to do our bit to help raise vital funds money."
