Asian art in Lichfield and Sutton Coldfield

A LONDON specialist on Chinese art is coming to Lichfield and Sutton Coldfield to offer free valuations.

On Monday, February 10, Bill Forrest from Roseberys London will be at The Hub at St Mary's in Lichfield city centre, WS13 6LG, between 9.30am-12.30pm and then at The Trinity Centre, Church Hill, Mill Street, Sutton Coldfield B72 1TF between 2pm-3.30pm. No appointment is necessary.

Bill will be assessing any works of Asian art - porcelain, paintings, jade, laquerware, bronzes, wood, metalware etc.

People will also be able to have jewellery, watches and antiques valued at the same time by specialists from Richard Winterton Auctioneers.

Bill - also a lead auctioneer for Roseberys - graduated with a BA in ancient history from Leeds University in 2008 and is an active member of the Oriental Ceramic Society.

He joined Roseberys in 2015 and was appointed head of department for Chinese and Japanese works of art at Roseberys in 2016. The firm holds two sales of Chinese art annually.



Bill, pictured above, has particular expertise in Chinese porcelain and paintings, achieving notable sales including £127,000 for a Chinese hanging scroll by the studio of the much-revered late Ming calligrapher Zhang Ruitu. The blue and white vase pictured above sold at Roseberys London in November 2019 for a hammer price of £52,000.
