From an early age and as long as I can remember, I have been involved in the business. If it wasn’t painting the floor or shed (badly I have now been told) at the Burton saleroom, I would be having a nosey with my brothers during filming days trying to get on camera! So, from the early days I always knew I would end up in the business, - it's just in the blood.
I started working for the family firm in September 2011 as a teen, gaining my experience in the furniture department, and if you ever need me it's where you will find me. I have an interest in many items but especially mid-century design. This is an area I have grown to enjoy seeing and when I spot something, it is exciting.
My first experience of auctioneering was a few days before my 21st birthday where I was surprised and literally thrown into the deep end to sell 10 lots in front of a packed saleroom (before the days of online auctions). If I am honest, I don’t remember much of those few minutes but it was an emotional time for me and the family.
In my own time, I love going to the football seeing Liverpool FC, playing a round of golf, or spending time with my family and friends.
